Notes

Creeping fig (Ficus pumila) is a vine for containers, ground cover, and low maintenance gardens. It grows outdoors year-round in USDA zone 9 and warmer, down to about 20°F (-7°C). In colder areas, grow it as a houseplant or bring it indoors for winter. This plant likes full sun to part shade and average to moist soil of most types. It grows fast and stays evergreen, and it climbs as high as 15 feet. It sits low on the menu for deer. Birds visit it too.

Pairs well with Carolina jessamine, Staghorn fern, and Little Gem southern magnolia.
