Notes

'Takiginou' rose (Rosa 'Takiginou') is a shrub for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and containers. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full sun and loamy or clay soil. It grows upright to about 59 inches tall and has medium green leaves. Medium red blooms appear in late spring, early to late summer, and early autumn, and bees visit them. Hironaka Ōtsuki bred it in 2010.

Pairs well with Limelight hydrangea, Little bluestem, Queen of Night tulip, and Avens.
