Notes

'Tayberry' blackberry (Rubus fruticosus 'Tayberry') is a fruit for the food garden. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun. The berries turn dark purple when ripe from late July through August, and they are grown for fresh eating, cooking, baking, freezing, and canning. Canes can reach 5 to 8 feet long, so give them a wall or trellis for support. Remove fruited canes after harvest to encourage new canes.

Pairs well with Apple, Black chokeberry, and Siberian iris.
