Notes

Tea crabapple (Malus hupehensis) is a tree for borders, specimen planting, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full sun and average to moist soil of most types. It grows 15 to 20 feet tall and wide with an arching habit. The pink and white blooms are fragrant and attract butterflies, bees, and birds. It is also drought tolerant and needs little care.

Pairs well with Paris coral bells, Gladiator ornamental onion, and Ruby Spice sweet pepperbush.
