Notes

'The Charlatan' rose (Rosa 'The Charlatan') is a shrub for borders, cottage gardens, containers, and cut flowers. It is hardy to USDA zone 6, or down to -10°F (-23°C). This plant likes full sun and loamy or clay soil. Light pink blooms with pink stamens open from early to late summer and attract bees. The bushy plant stays 24 to 35 inches tall. Alain Meilland bred it, and it won the Golden Rose of Monaco.

Pairs well with Lanceleaf coreopsis, Obedient plant, and Indian grass.
