Notes

'Thumbelina' peony (Paeonia 'Thumbelina') is a perennial for borders, rock gardens, cottage gardens, and cut flowers. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Rose-pink, fragrant, single cup blooms with showy stamens cover this compact, rounded bush. Deer and rabbits usually look elsewhere for a meal. Butterflies and bees visit the flowers.

Pairs well with Creeping phlox, Stargazer lily, and Little bluestem.
