Notes

Tickseed (Anacis palmata) is a perennial for meadow plantings, naturalized areas, and low maintenance gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full sun to part shade and dry to average, sandy, loamy, or chalky soil. It sits low on the menu for deer. Bright yellow flowers last a long time and draw butterflies, bees, and birds. Leaves and stems turn red in autumn, and clumps form quickly.

Pairs well with Brown-eyed Susan, Blonde Ambition blue grama, and Black chokeberry.
