Notes
'Tidwell' lilyturf (Liriope muscari 'Tidwell') is a perennial for borders, containers, ground cover, and shade gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full sun to full shade and dry to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. It forms a clumping, evergreen mound that stays 9 to 18 inches tall and wide. Dark purple flowers open from early to late summer and into early autumn. Deer and rabbits rarely make it their first choice.
Pairs well with Oakleaf hydrangea, Autumn fern, and New England aster.
