Notes

'Tigris of Gaul' peony (Paeonia 'Tigris of Gaul') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and specimen planting. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Its dark red, fragrant flowers have frilled and ruffled guard petals. Deer and rabbits tend to browse other plants first. Upright stems reach about 30 inches and need no support.

Pairs well with Creeping phlox, Standing Ovation little bluestem, and Pink Impression tulip.
