Notes
'Tropics' coneflower (Echinacea 'Tropics') is a compact perennial. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full sun and dry to average soil. The orange blooms smell sweet, and their colors deepen as they age. Deer tend to browse other plants first. Bees visit the flowers, which open from early to late summer and again in early to mid autumn.
Pairs well with Purrsian Blue nepeta, Blue grama, and Gladiator ornamental onion.
