Notes

Trumpet lily (Lilium henryi) is a bulb for borders, containers, and low maintenance gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist soil of most types. The orange flowers have maroon spotting and recurved petals, and they open from early to late summer. They are fragrant and draw butterflies, hummingbirds, and bees. Stalks can top seven feet in a garden, so give them room.

Pairs well with Monkshood, Festiva Maxima peony, and Rose of sharon.
