Notes
'Twilight Sky' aromatic aster (Symphyotrichum oblongifolium 'Twilight Sky') is a perennial. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry soil. Periwinkle blue, daisy-like flowers with yellow eyes cover the mounded plant in early to mid autumn. It is not a favorite of rabbits, though hungry rabbits will eat almost anything. Butterflies and bees visit the blooms for late season nectar.
Pairs well with Heavy Metal switchgrass, Jerusalem sage, and Lime Zinger sedum.
