Notes

'Raydon' aromatic aster (Symphyotrichum oblongifolium 'Raydon') is a perennial for borders, pollinator gardens, meadows, and rain gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full sun and dry to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. It forms a dense clump, tolerates drought, and draws butterflies, bees, and birds. Deer and rabbits usually look elsewhere for a meal. It blooms in early to late summer and in early to late autumn.

Pairs well with Goldsturm black-eyed Susan, Gro-Low fragrant sumac, and Rubenza cosmos.
