Notes

'Ursa Major' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Ursa Major') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Fragrant carmine-red flowers open in early summer with a cream center that turns white. Each strong stem carries three to four buds. Roy G. Klehm bred it.

Pairs well with Monkshood, Cinnamon fern, and Carnaval De Nice tulip.
