Notes
'Usona' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Usona') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The fragrant double blooms are pink with white and lilac shading and crimson flecks. They open in early summer above dark foliage. George Hollis bred it in 1907.
Pairs well with Smooth aster, Rock soapwort, and Queen of Night tulip.
