Notes
'Vanzie' whale's tongue agave (Agave ovatifolia 'Vanzie') is a succulent for rock gardens, containers, and dry borders. It is hardy to USDA zone 7, or down to 0°F (-18°C). This plant likes full sun and dry soil. It grows 24 to 48 inches tall and can spread 36 to 84 inches wide, so give it plenty of room. Yellow flowers appear from early to late summer.
Pairs well with Shenandoah switchgrass, Elfin mother of thyme, and Star of persia.
