Notes

'Vaughn' hawthorn (Crataegus 'Vaughn') is a tree for specimen use, hedges, and winter interest. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to average, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. Fragrant flowers open from early to late spring and attract bees. Birds visit the tree too, and the leaves turn color in fall. It is also drought tolerant.

Pairs well with Kentucky coffeetree, Winterberry, and Cat mint.
