Notes

'Velasquez' rose (Rosa 'Velasquez') is a shrub for borders, cottage gardens, cut flowers, and containers. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full sun and loamy or clay soil. The upright canes reach about 39 to 59 inches tall. Fragrant, deep pink flowers open in late spring, summer, and early autumn, and bees visit them. Alain Meilland bred it in 2011.

Pairs well with Ornamental onion, Indian grass, and Buckeye Belle peony.
