Notes

'Velvet Lady' rose (Rosa 'Velvet Lady') is a shrub for borders, cottage gardens, specimen planting, and cut flowers. It is hardy to USDA zone 6, or down to -10°F (-23°C). This plant likes full sun and loamy or clay soil. Dark red, fragrant blooms open in late spring, again in summer, and once more in early autumn. Bees visit the flowers. Harvey Davidson bred it in 1995.

Pairs well with Coralbells, Creeping thyme, and Ornamental onion.
