Notes

'Venus' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Venus') is a perennial for borders, perennial beds, and cut flower use. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The large, fragrant double flowers open light pink and age to white, and they bloom from mid to late spring into early summer. Strong stems make it a good cut flower. H.A. Terry bred it.

Pairs well with Columbine, Virginia spiderwort, Pink Impression tulip, and Royal fern.
