Notes

'Victor Reiter' thrift (Armeria maritima 'Victor Reiter') is a perennial for borders, rock gardens, containers, and low maintenance ground cover. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to average soil of most types. It is not a favorite of deer, though hungry deer will eat almost anything. It forms a slow growing, clumping evergreen mound that blooms in spring and again in summer. Bees and butterflies visit the flowers.

Pairs well with Elijah Blue blue fescue, Tasmanian Tiger Mediterranean spurge, and Heather.
