Notes
'Rubrifolia' thrift (Armeria maritima 'Rubrifolia') is a perennial for borders, containers, rock gardens, and ground cover. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to average soil of most types. It forms a slow growing clump of evergreen leaves and bears rosy pink blooms in spring and again in summer. Bees and butterflies visit the flowers. Deer rarely make it their first choice.
Pairs well with Blue fescue, Heather, Greig's tulip, and Blue grama.
