Notes

'Vintage Brown' stock (Matthiola incana 'Vintage Brown') is an annual for borders, cut flowers, and containers. It grows well in cool weather and can ride out a light frost. This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist soil of most types. Deer rarely make it their first choice. The fragrant blooms come in gold and rose shades, and the stems are excellent for cutting. Butterflies, bees, and birds visit the flowers.

Pairs well with Cornflower, Teddy Bear sunflower, Casa Blanca lily, and Coral Sunset peony.
