Notes

'Teddy Bear' sunflower (Helianthus annuus 'Teddy Bear') is an annual for borders, containers, cottage gardens, and pollinator gardens. It cannot take cold, and a freeze will end its season. This plant likes full sun and average to moist soil of most types. The short plants bear fluffy puffball blooms with masses of thin petals. Deer rarely make it their first choice. Bees, butterflies, and birds visit the bright gold flowers, and children's gardens suit it well.

Pairs well with Cornflower, Empress of India nasturtium, Red fescue, and Cerise Queen yarrow.
