Notes
Violet willow (Salix daphnoides) is a tree for rain gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to wet soil. Deer tend to pass it by. It bears grayish white flowers in mid to late spring. It can reach 7 to 20 feet tall, so give it room to spread.
Pairs well with Cinnamon fern, Buttonbush, and Sedge.
