Notes

'Wabash' pawpaw (Asimina triloba 'Wabash') is a tree for the food garden. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full or part sun. Wabash is grown for large, sweet fruit with creamy yellow to orange flesh and few seeds. The fruit ripens mid to late season and tastes like banana, mango, and cantaloupe. You need two different plants for cross pollination.

Pairs well with Granny Smith apple, Pecan, and Autumn fern.
