Notes

'Sunflower' pawpaw (Asimina triloba 'Sunflower') is a tree for the food garden. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full or part sun. It is grown for large, sweet, custardy fruit with a flavor like banana, mango, and cantaloupe. The fruit ripens late in the season. You need two different plants for cross pollination.

Pairs well with Pink Lemonade blueberry, Serviceberry, Empire apple, and Passionflower.
