Notes

'Waingaro' pineapple guava (Feijoa sellowiana 'Waingaro') is an evergreen fruit shrub for the food garden. It is hardy to USDA zone 7, or down to 0°F (-18°C). This plant likes full or part sun. Waingaro is a later-ripening, New Zealand-bred cultivar with large, sweet and tart fruit that tastes like mint and pineapple. White flowers with red accents open from early to late summer. It sets more fruit when another variety grows nearby.

Pairs well with Pink Lady apple, Lovage, and Artichoke.
