Notes
'Nikita' pineapple guava (Feijoa sellowiana 'Nikita') is a fruit for the food garden. It is hardy to USDA zone 7, or down to 0°F (-18°C). This plant likes full or part sun. The evergreen shrub has gray green leaves with white undersides and white summer flowers with red accents. Fruits taste like mint and pineapple and ripen early. It needs pollination by another cultivar, so plant two kinds.
Pairs well with Brown Turkey fig, Arctic kiwi, and Passionflower.
