Notes
'Walnut Glen' Colorado spruce (Picea pungens 'Walnut Glen') is a tree for specimen planting, accent, privacy screen, and winter interest. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy or clay soil. Deer and rabbits rarely make it their first choice. It grows slowly into a narrow, columnar shape, reaching 60 to 72 inches tall. This evergreen is also drought tolerant.
Pairs well with Common snowberry, Berry Poppins winterberry, Black Hero tulip, and Foxtail barley.
