Notes

'Wedgewood Blue' lilac (Syringa vulgaris 'Wedgewood Blue') is a shrub for borders, hedges, specimen planting, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist soil of most types. Fragrant flowers open from early to late spring and draw butterflies, hummingbirds, and bees. It is not a favorite of deer or rabbits, though hungry ones will eat almost anything. Plant it where you can enjoy the scent.

Pairs well with Eastern columbine, Cheerfulness daffodil, and Standing Ovation little bluestem.
