Notes
'Président Grévy' lilac (Syringa vulgaris 'Président Grévy') is a shrub for borders, hedges, specimen planting, and cut flowers. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist soil of most types. Its highly fragrant, double lavender-blue flowers cover the shrub in spring. Deer and rabbits usually look elsewhere for a meal. Hummingbirds and butterflies visit the blooms.
Pairs well with Lanceleaf coreopsis, Nodding onion, Picture tulip, and Western sword fern.
