Notes

'Westfield Scarlet' rose (Rosa 'Westfield Scarlet') is a shrub for borders, cut flowers, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 6, or down to -10°F (-23°C). This plant likes full sun and loamy or clay soil. The bushy plant has dark green leaves and fragrant, medium red blooms. Flowers open in late spring, again in early to late summer, and once more in early autumn. Bees visit them, and Henry Morse bred it in 1931.

Pairs well with False indigo, Little bluestem, and Goldenrod.
