Notes

Wherry's foam flower (Tiarella wherryi) is a perennial for borders and ground cover, and it needs little care. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes part sun to full shade and average to moist, loamy, clay, or chalky soil. It grows about 12 inches tall and wide, and butterflies and bees visit the blooms. Deer and rabbits tend to browse other plants first. Plant it in a shady border for color from spring on.

Pairs well with Humpback Whale hosta, Bush honeysuckle, and Paul Scherer tulip.
