Notes

Bush honeysuckle (Diervilla lonicera) is a shrub for borders, hedges, and ground cover. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full sun to full shade and dry to moist soil of most types. Small yellow flowers open in early to late summer and turn orange or purplish-red with age. The leaves turn yellow to red in fall. It suckers freely and forms broad thickets, so give it room.

Pairs well with Brown-eyed Susan, Sedge, and Royal fern.
