Notes

Willow-leaved foxglove (Digitalis obscura) is a perennial for borders, cottage gardens, and pollinator gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full sun to part shade and dry to moist soil of most types. Its tubular flowers are red outside and orange inside, and bees and hummingbirds visit them. The evergreen leaves are long, narrow, and leathery. It is not a favorite of deer or rabbits, though hungry ones will eat almost anything.

Pairs well with Cheyenne Spirit echinacea, Standing Ovation little bluestem, and Pink Impression tulip.
