Notes
Strawberry foxglove (Digitalis mertonensis) is a perennial for naturalized plantings. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average moisture. Tall spikes of coppery rose flowers open in late spring and early summer on plants 36 to 48 inches tall. Deer usually look elsewhere for a meal. Give it a spot where the tall spikes can stand out.
Pairs well with Comfrey, Indian grass, and Ostrich fern.
Native range
Europe, Africa, Corse, and Sardegna.
