Notes

Yellow foxglove (Digitalis grandiflora) is a perennial for borders and low maintenance gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full sun to part shade and average to moist soil of most types. Yellow flowers open in spring and again in summer, and they attract butterflies, hummingbirds, and birds. It is not a favorite of deer or rabbits, though hungry ones will eat almost anything. The plants reach 24 to 36 inches tall.

Pairs well with Rainbow's End hosta, Sensitive fern, and Invincibelle Ruby smooth hydrangea.

Native range

Europe, Africa, Corse, and Sardegna.
