Notes

Yellow jewelweed (Impatiens pallida) is an annual for borders, pollinator gardens, and meadows. It is typically grown as an annual. It is tender to cold, and the first hard frost will kill it. This plant likes full sun to full shade and average to wet, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. Its soft, translucent stems carry nodding, pale yellow flowers. Ripe seed capsules burst open at a touch, which gives the plant its touch-me-not name.

Pairs well with Cardinal flower, Scarlet rose mallow, and Buttonbush.
