Notes

'Yellowhammer' rose (Rosa 'Yellowhammer') is a shrub for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and containers. It is hardy to USDA zone 6, or down to -10°F (-23°C). This plant likes full sun and loamy or clay soil. Its fragrant, medium yellow blooms open in late spring, again in summer, and again in early autumn. Bees visit the flowers. Samuel Darragh bred it in 1956.

Pairs well with Hardy geranium, Karl Foerster feather reed grass, Niobe clematis, and Shasta daisy.
