'Zahra' dahlia (Dahlia 'Zahra') is a bulb for borders and cut flowers. It is hardy to USDA zone 8, or down to 10°F (-12°C). This plant likes full sun and dry soil. White, fluffy powder-puff blooms measure 3 to 4 inches wide and sit on stems up to 48 inches tall. It blooms from summer to frost. Winter wet can harm it, so protect it from rain, grow it in a pot you can move, or lift and store the tubers in a cool, dry, frost free place.
Pairs well with Purple sage, Vetiver, and Shenandoah switchgrass.
