Notes
'Zuni Thunderbird' daylily (Hemerocallis 'Zuni Thunderbird') is a perennial for borders and pollinator gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to average soil. The burgundy blooms have a green throat and a sweet fragrance, and they draw butterflies, hummingbirds, and bees. Rabbits tend to pass it by. It also tolerates drought and salt.
Pairs well with Blonde Ambition blue grama, Ageratum, and Blue Muffin arrowwood viburnum.
