Notes

'Abendglocken' bergenia (Bergenia 'Abendglocken') is a perennial for borders and ground cover, and it needs little care. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full sun to full shade and average to moist soil of most types. Deer and rabbits tend to pass it by. It stays evergreen and tolerates salt. Rose-red flowers open in early to late spring and again in early to late winter, and butterflies visit them.

Pairs well with Royal Standard hosta, Obsidian coral bells, and HGC Jacob black hellebore.
