Notes

'Spring Fling' bergenia (Bergenia 'Spring Fling') is a perennial for borders, ground cover, and low maintenance beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full sun to full shade and average to moist soil of most types. Magenta flowers on branched stems hide the foliage when in bloom, and the evergreen leaves turn purple-black in fall and winter. Bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds visit the blooms. Deer and rabbits rarely make it their first choice.

Pairs well with Royal Standard hosta, Obsidian coral bells, HGC Jacob black hellebore, and Astilbe.
