Notes

'Agincourt Beauty' lilac (Syringa vulgaris 'Agincourt Beauty') is a shrub for specimen planting, hedges, cottage gardens, and cut flowers. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, loamy or clay soil. Deep violet, fragrant blooms open from early to late spring. They draw butterflies, hummingbirds, bees, and birds. It is not a favorite of deer or rabbits, though hungry ones will eat almost anything.

Pairs well with Invincibelle Ruby smooth hydrangea, David garden phlox, Little Beauty tulip, and Standing Ovation little bluestem.
