Notes
'Agnes Kennedy' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Agnes Kennedy') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The large double flowers open in late spring. They are deep rose with deeper shading on the outer edge of the petals, and the petals form a rose-like shape. Archie M. Brand bred it.
Pairs well with Orange daylily, Cinnamon fern, and Queen of Night tulip.
