Notes

'Airaway' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Airaway') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Gilbert H. Wild & Son bred it in 1967. The fragrant, deep rose flowers have crimped, lacy petals and gold-edged centers. Stiff stems hold the blooms up well, and they last in a vase.

Pairs well with Incrediball hydrangea, Cinnamon fern, and Columbine.
