Notes
'Aka' nandina (Nandina domestica 'Aka') is a shrub. It is hardy to USDA zone 6, or down to -10°F (-23°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. It grows fast to 24 to 30 inches tall with an erect habit. The evergreen leaves show fall color, and the plant tolerates drought and salt. Deer tend to pass it by.
Pairs well with Bigleaf hydrangea, Fountain grass, and Pansy.
