Notes
'Alba' obedient plant (Physostegia virginiana 'Alba') is a perennial for borders, rain gardens, cottage gardens, and cut flower use. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to wet soil of most types. Its white flowers open in early to late summer and again in early to late autumn, and butterflies, hummingbirds, and bees visit them. Give this fast clumping plant room to spread. Deer rarely make it their first choice.
Pairs well with Black-eyed Susan, Joe Pye weed, and Royal fern.
