Notes

'Miss Manners' obedient plant (Physostegia virginiana 'Miss Manners') is a perennial for borders, cut flower gardens, and rain gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to wet, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. Deer tend to browse other plants first. It forms a clump that grows quickly to 24 to 30 inches tall, with white blooms from summer into autumn. Butterflies, hummingbirds, bees, and birds visit the flowers.

Pairs well with Spotted joe-pye weed, Standing Ovation little bluestem, and Royal fern.
